Local News Updates: Whether it’s happening in Providence, Newport, Narragansett, Warwick, Wakefield, Westerly or New London, CT, we cover it weekdays with our Local News Updates on WCRI.


Mozart Block at Nine O’Clock: To jump-start your workdays, every weekday morning at 9:00 AM, WCRI presents the Mozart Block at 9 O’Clock. The world’s most renowned composer and child superstar, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and his music continue to delight, in this program filled with his beloved music.


Dinner Classics: After a busy day, Monday-Friday, Dinner Classics offers you a way to relax and unwind from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. This program is the perfect accompaniment with the evening meal, a favorite book or while surfing the web. Take time for yourself with some of these classical favorites!


All-Time Classics, presented by South County Hospital: Each evening from 9pm-10:00 PM, you can relax as you enjoy All Time Classics. This program showcases the performances of composers, conductors and orchestras of which you just can’t seem to get enough.


 Jazz After Dinner, presented by Rhumbline Restaurant: Friday evenings at 8:00 PM join award winning pianist, Grammy nominated composer, and Steinway Artist Joe Parillo as he brings you an hour of some of the best Jazz on the planet. Relax and enjoy Jazz After Dinner every Friday evening at 8:00 PM only on the classical station.

The Van Liew Trust Company Sunday Brunch: On Sundays, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, tune in to WCRI and leave it on throughout the day for our Sunday Brunch. This program offers you a time to relax and get away from weekday stresses and distractions. The work week is upon you so enjoy the calm before the storm with these classical masterpieces.


Conducting Conversations, presented by Roberts Musical Instruments: Every Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 PM join Mike Maino for an hour of music and conversation with notable people in the arts. Giving you a behind the scenes look at their background, interests, special projects, and how music and the arts has impacted their lives.


 WCRI’s Festival Series featuring The Newport Music Festival, presented by Hyundai of Newport: Sundays at 9:00pm, we capture that sense of place — the natural beauty, the excitement of the music, the fun –in this series of broadcasts from the worlds greatest music festivals.  We will also feature our very own Newport Music Festival as a series within a series during the Summer months.


 American A cappella: At 9pm on the last Sunday of every month join hosts Mike Maino and Jamie Jones for American A cappella. You’ll get a taste of the best a cappella music along with a few candid interviews with people who have shaped this great American art form!


The WCRI Chamber Music Hour, presented by R.A. Georgetti & Co.: Listen every Sunday evening at 8:00 PM for an hour of chamber music from San Diego, London, New York, and more. Enjoy these wonderful pre-recorded programs filled with beautiful classical music from performers near and far.
